An absolutely stunning one of a kind artisan handmade guitar strap made with thick, lush vintage jacquard cotton of terracotta shades of reddish orange. Sprinkled across the face of the guitar strap are woven cream and green blossoms and leaves in a weave so tiny it almost looks like petit point. The back lining of the guitar strap is rich, deep copper pure Dupioni silk and the pin tabs are double thick hand punched and hand stitched top quality black Brazilian textured leather. This guitar strap is simply exquisite, unique, and will make you and your music utterly unforgettable.

I bought this material from a fabric dealer during my semi-annual pilgrimage to Milton, Florida, home of some amazing antiques and collectibles shops. This was included in a stack of vintage materials I bought. The vendor said the materials were remnants from an upscale design house auction. She couldn’t give me a manufacture year but from the feel of the material, I don’t think it’s newer than the 1970s. In any case, I just loved even this small piece and knew it would make a beautiful guitar strap. And, it did.

A Stunning Vintage Artisan Handmade Guitar Strap

The Victorian era was one of genteel romanticism and the artistic  imagery of that time, in both art and textiles, was beautifully and delicately expressed. Rich colors, ornate designs, especially floral images, is one of the most easily recognized emblems of Victorian demure, constrained passion.  Being able to create a custom handmade guitar strap that portrays those sensibilities of harnessed passion using a unique vintage material is an absolute thrill.  A Lovely Vintage Victorian Floral Handmade Guitar Strap
